Music In Cyberspace

The path that led me on to the vinyl Track started in Jamaica – little did I know that one day I would end up on a road leading from Jamaica to England and finally ending up in Cyberspace collecting records all along the way!!

Of course, I can recall being nine with a vehement love for music. I would get up early in the mornings about 5am  just to tune into my dad’s short wave radio searching for American radio stations that played  Hill Billy songs along with Country and Western music.

As the years rolled by I became more interested in Rhythm and Blues and eventually became a lover of  genre rhythms that consist of Jazz, Soul, Latin, Meringue, even the Mento and Calypso. Then along came the Ska and Rock Steady. Reggae was verge of being created,  and now, in this time, we have the R 'n' B sounds with the Rock Steady rhythm.

As a youth I was constantly sneaking out of the house late every Saturday night to listen to my favourite sound system playing the latest rhythms. I pledged to myself that one day I would own all of these magic records. Now, here I am sharing a little of my past with you. Oh boy, I certainly did enjoy my boyhood days! - By DJ Weasel
