Club owners wanted Sir Coxsone the Downbeat sound system. People who keep regular house parties or if there was going to be wedding reception Sir Coxsone Downbeat was the one they wanted. Further to that, the bigger the crowd following, the more often that sound system is likely win a competitive sound contest. Coxsone Dodd had a selection of some of the best turntable disc jockeys for his many sound systems, including names such as Count Machuki, King Stitt, and Buster all of which went on to become famous in their own rights as producers of music records!
